OBC CELL
An OBC Cell is functioning in the campus to provide special assistance to the students belonging to the Other Backward Classes. The Students of Other Backward Classes (OBC) are encouraged to pursue higher education by this cell, which also ensures that they receive scholarships and necessary support. The cell also provides aid to students in both their required academic work and their extracurricular interests. The primary goal of the cell is to promote the psychological well-being of students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) inside the college, with the aim of facilitating the realization of their aspirations. The institution demonstrates a particular commitment to offering financial assistance for students from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Aims and Objectives
- To raise awareness of the diverse scholarship programs offered by both state and central government authorities.
- To counsel and guide students on a variety of issues and assist them in managing academic activities.
- To resolve problems related to OBC students.
- To function as a Grievances Redress Cell for the grievances of OBC students and render them necessary help in solving their academic, research as well as administrative problems.
- To circulate State Government and UGC’s decisions about different scholarship programs.
- To communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.
- To deal with representations received from Other Backward Classes (OBC) Candidates regarding their admission, scholarships and other similar matters in the College.
