The department of Political Science started functioning as a subject of intermediate Arts in 1981. By taking two teachers this department proceeded on and degree course opened in 1989 and then honours course in 2006. With an intention to build up students and to impart them better education on this subject we train young minds. The objective of the curriculum designed by Berhampur University, we fucus on classical themes as well as and recent trends of Political Science. Though the course content is vast and wide ranging, yet the curriculum covers theoretical, conceptual and empirical aspect of the discipline. This provides the students necessary conceptual awareness to undertake further specialized study and research activity when they adopt at their end. We teach...they learn- is the motto of our department.
